The leaves are starting to fall. The days are getting shorter. The cold is creeping in. That can mean only one thing. It’s Chili Cook Off Season! 🌶️
The Switchbox Annual Chili Cook Off is a day that the team looks forward to all year. Employees gather, some as Cook Off competitors, and others as taste-testers, to answer once and for all (or at least, until next year), who is the master chili culinarian?
The 2025 edition of this beloved contest saw impressive entries from all participants, including multiple past winners. However, after the scores of the blind taste test results were tallied, a first time winner had been named – one of our fantastic Developers, Alex!
Alex used a traditional base but separated himself from the pack by infusing his chili with an Indonesian twist. If you’d like to try to recreate the magic, you can give Alex’s recipe a shot. Start with the base recipe and add in this delicious spice pack. 😋
Another successful, hotly contested Chili Cook Off is in the books. And we’re all still full just thinking about it. That doesn’t mean we’re not already looking forward to 2026!
