Scaling operations without compromising customer experience
Right Way Medical has been on a sustained growth trajectory—recognized by Columbus Business First as one of the fastest-growing companies five years in a row. As a full-service infusion pump and medical supply distributor, they’ve built their reputation on fast delivery, flexible financing, and exceptional customer service.
But growth brought new operational challenges. Customers needed more control and visibility over their orders, billing, and inventory interactions. The existing WooCommerce-based store lacked the custom functionality required for B2B customers. And as internal demand scaled, Right Way Medical needed a seamless ERP system that could connect with existing custom software without disrupting workflows.
To maintain service quality while preparing for the next phase of growth, Right Way Medical turned to Switchbox.
Mapping two parallel paths to modernization
Switchbox began with a comprehensive assessment of Right Way Medical’s existing WooCommerce setup and operational workflows. We identified two parallel tracks: enhancing the customer-facing experience through a self-service portal, and connecting internal systems through a NetSuite ERP integration.
For each track, we mapped requirements, defined integration points, and designed a custom middleware architecture that would allow the WooCommerce store, new customer portal, and existing proprietary Switchbox-built software to sync in real time—without disrupting established workflows.
A fully integrated customer portal and NetSuite ERP connection
Switchbox led two parallel digitization initiatives focused on enhancing the customer experience and optimizing internal operations.
Customer Portal Development: Built as an extension of their WooCommerce platform, the new portal provides customers with a centralized hub to set up automatic ordering and payments, submit pricing requests, check inventory availability, view order history, and manage account settings.
NetSuite ERP Integration: Switchbox built a custom middleware layer to connect NetSuite with the WooCommerce store, the new customer portal, and existing proprietary software—enabling real-time data sync across departments and applications without disrupting established workflows.
Streamlined operations and scalable customer service
The result is a modernized, connected system that powers both the front-end customer experience and back-end operations. Key business outcomes include increased automation across core processes such as ordering, inventory management, and billing; improved customer satisfaction with a self-service portal that gives users visibility and control; and stronger operational efficiency that allows teams to focus on strategic growth rather than manual tasks.
Right Way Medical can now continue scaling with confidence, supported by a flexible, future-ready technology foundation.
